About Mary Ellen

Mary Ellen Quigley is an Indiana author and paranormal storyteller whose work explores everything from haunted history and local legends to the darker, more mysterious side of fiction.

Her published books span paranormal nonfiction, memoir, and inspirational nonfiction, while her upcoming projects include paranormal romance. Whether she is writing about a documented haunting or creating a world where the supernatural is very real, Mary Ellen is drawn to stories that blur the line between the ordinary and the unexplained.

She is also the co-host of Hoosier Myths and Legends, a podcast exploring Indiana folklore and haunted history, and the creator and host of The Spooky Files, which shares paranormal encounters, unexplained experiences, and the stories behind them.

A lifelong Hoosier, Mary Ellen believes some of the most compelling stories can be found close to home—in small towns, forgotten histories, local legends, and the places people pass every day without realizing what may have happened there.

When she isn’t writing, researching something strange, or behind a microphone, she can usually be found taking a road trip, planning her next project, or spending time with her dog, Rudy.
